Moda Block Heads 4 - Block 23 and Sew Much More
My WIP (work in progress) stack is getting shorter. This week I'm catching up with BH4 Blocks 16, 17 & 18 and Block 23 - the current block!! I'm thrilled to show you how gorgeous these blocks are stitched in two of my Shibori collections - Yukata from Spring 2022 and next month's release, Kawa.
Block 23 is the current Block Heads 4 block, Gentleman's Fancy, designed by Brenda Riddle. All those wonderful triangles look great in my Yukata!

Backing up a little, Block 16 is called Indiana Puzzle. First in fabulous Yukata with a bold central focus!
Then in Kawa, shipping in September 2022! Designed by Moda's own Tammy Vonderschmitt, this is a block with motion. You can just see it spin and I know Tammy must have had lots of fun designing it! Follow Tammy on Instagram @nithaystack and click here for instructions for her Indiana Puzzle.
Now we're off to the beach with Block 17, Camille Roskelley's Shoreline! A delightful block with so much possibility. It's marvelous in my floral Yukata Shibori prints as focal fabrics.
But, look what happens when you change out values and stitch the same block in Kawa. An exciting "new" design appears! It's such a joy to see how you can vary the look of a block with the fabric you use and how it's placed. The last block I have for you this week is Block 18, Crowning Glory by Betsy Chutchian. The surrounding crowns are just stunning in the deep Indigo of one of my Yukata prints. A perfect end to this week!
