Moda Block Heads 4 - My Favorite Blocks So Far
If you follow me on Facebook or Instagram, you know I've been laid up with a couple of health issues for a few weeks and unable to sew. This is not something that brings me much joy, but it does give me time to reflect on the Moda Block Heads 4 blocks I've assembled so far and which ones are my favorites. Honestly, they're all worthy of "favorite" status, but there are three that stand out to me - today anyway!
In no particular order, my first "fave" is Chelsi Stratton's block #10, Autumnal.
Next there's Block #3, Kouign Amann by Laurie Simpson of Minick & Simpson.
And, finally Block #4, Spinner by Anne Sutton of Bunny Hill Designs.
Have you noticed a theme? The blocks I find most versatile and enjoyable involve triangles. Half-square or quarter square - I love them all!
I also love the opportunity to use various coordinating fabrics, like these above, from my upcoming Moda collection, Kawa. It will be shipping in September 2022, so you can start making your plans, too. (Be sure to let your LQS know that you're looking forward to it!!)
In the meantime, you'll find lots of my current Moda fabric designs available on my web site. Click here to enjoy the delights of my Shibori fabrics!
You can shop the Quilt Patterns I've designed on my web site. They're available in Hard Copy that will be shipped to you and Downloadable PDFs you can print right away. You'll find lots of those wonderful triangles in my designs, too!
Although, I create my own quilt designs, it's nice to take a break and stitch up another designer's block. That's one of the joys of Moda Block Heads 4. So many blocks, so many designers!
